Episode 143 - Poop or Get Off the Potter

Welcome to Episode 143 of Broadcast Geeks! On this podcast we discuss all things geek and nerd related, provided our DVR’s have space and our Netflix accounts are our own and none others.  This week, the Geeks (Jake, Jeff, Mitch, Nate and Matt Orrin) are joined by Reese Jenniges (sic), back in the Quantum Realm under Mutiny Info Cafe for another packed episode of geeky goodness.  

Its a new year and a new episode!  Will we go for a new 52?  Probably more likely 42, but we'll see what happens as we aren't much for resolutions.  We ARE, however, into Titans as we continue to talk about how awesome the show is and how much we are enjoying it.  The finale was nuts, with lots of questions to be answered but it also felt like it would lead into one more episode.  Did it feel like a finale to you?

We had Reese Jenniges on and there was confusion as to whether or not he would be replacing a geek.  Are the Geeks being recasted for this new season?  Who will Reese replace, if so?  That led to discussion about Young Justice: Outsiders, which came out on DCU. The show takes place a few years after the second season, which you should have watched aleady!  Things take a weird turn, especially for member Black Lightning.  We're all excited to keep watching it, as well as ALL of the other great content on our favorite streaming service. 

Next, we talk poop.  It started with Supermans poop...is it powerful?  Would he destroy a toilet?  This led to someone saying that in the old days, Potter-verse wizards would just poop where they were and then magic the poop away.  Poof!  Matt Orrin wanted to know where the poop went, because it has to go somewhere! Do the laws of Physics have ANY role in Rowlings Wizarding World??

Jeff finally saw Venom, and like the rest of us seemed somewhat whelmed.  It was good but maybe not as good as its box office suggests.  Could we see Spidey interact with the symbiote in the future?  Do they need him for success?  Will we see movie studios combine these characters, as in the Avengers movies with Sony?  Stay tuned!
