Crypto is a thing these days, and many of us don't know what the heck it's all about!  Jeff and Jake do their best to break it down for all of us, with a little talk about NFTs.  Is there a nefarious purpose behind the mining that is happening, and who would be behind it?  Elon Musk?  Time will hopefully tell.

We jumped into the Multiverse, talking about Loki and then eventually into Spider-man, which had us discussing the best Peter Parker & Spider-man.  Who is your favorite?

Talking about villains on this episode, because they are always fun to talk about.  However, we're talking about potential real-life villains with Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos, who seems to be on a Lex Luthor trajectory.  Would that make Musk the Riddler?  We relate that to the new Spidey movie coming out and that Ned might become the Hobgoblin.  With all the Multiverse stuff happening, who knows what Marvel is gonna throw at us!

Episode 213 - Get Off My Ice!

Welcome to Episode 213 of Broadcast Geeks! On this podcast we discuss all things pop culture provided that our DVR’s have space and our streaming accounts are paid up.  This week, the Geeks (Mitch and Matt Orrin) are virtually together to discuss all things geek.

M&M...Mitch and Matt Orrin with a hockey heavy episode.  We talked a bunch about the new Mighty Ducks: Game Changers show which, oddly enough, features Might Ducks alums helping train a different team AGAINST THE NEW DUCKS!!  Sounds pretty crazy, though Mitch gives it the seal of approval.  It led us to talk about hockey movies and how it is hard to name a bad one.  Whats your favorite hockey movie?

Prior to that, we talked about the upcoming Marvel phases and how they could contain characters we desire to see, such as Doom.  We know Namor is rumored to show up in Black Panther, maybe the FF4 is close behind.  We also got philosophical regarding characters and if they are truly villains, such as Zemo.  Is he truly a villain, even though he believes in his heart that what he does is just and right.  He doesn't want any person to have super soldier serum because of the havoc they could unleash on the world if it were abused.  Is that so wrong?

Another episode, and another long winded discussion on the MCU.  Can they sustain the magic that has captivated us for the last 10+ years with the next phases?  This next phase is headed up by magic and the Multiverse.  Who will be the big bad in these upcoming movies?  There was also a cool theory about how the X-Men could be introduced, mostly from the world that Wanda created on her show...yes, think about that.

Mitch is binging Amazon Prime!  He has a month trial and is absorbing as much of their content as possible, which is to our benefit.  He watched the Tick and tell us what he thinks, which leads us all to talk about what we know of the Tick, from the comic book, to the cartoon, to the Warburton show, to the current version!  Which is your favorite?

In the Star Wars universe, we have Bad Batch which is essentially the A-Team in space.  Well, thats what it sounds like with the newest cartoon to hit the stream, involving some failed clones that aren't up to code...or something.

This was a special live episode and we were joined by Anthony Crawford. who always has the best questions, and Scoop Jenson, out of NYC.  Scoop is a long time fan and regular guest, while also being a Hollywood insider.  We had some great discussions, especially about which Superman has been the best.  Is it Cavill?   Does he get a bad rap because the movies weren't very good, despite him being good in the role? We also talked about the Golden Age of TV ending. Do you agree?

The band is back!  Jake joins us for more talk about Falcon & Winter Soldier, and some possible implications for the future of the MCU.  Is Chris Evans gonna reprise his role at some point, helping to align the next phase and are we gonna see Jackman as the Wolverine?  Are we gonna see Dark Avengers with John Walker and Val?

Before Jakes tells us his sadness from reading the TMNT books, on which he ruined with his tears, we talk about Tom Hanks and his brother.  Apparently he is one of a group of Hollywood siblings that fills in for his brother in voicework and select video spots.  How crazy is that?  Then again, are you really listening to US when you listen to the podcast? Hmmm....

Episode 207 - Time Patrol Squad (Snyder Cut Part 2)

Welcome to Episode 207 of Broadcast Geeks! On this podcast we discuss all things pop culture provided that our DVR’s have space and our streaming accounts are paid up.  This week, the Geeks (Mitch and Matt Orrin) are virtually together to discuss all things geek.

We're back to finish our review on the second half of the 4-hour beast that is Zack Snyder's Justice League. Matt was a little less enthused about it than in the previous episode but overall we come to the conclusion that it was better than the 2017 version, although that isn't a hard bar to clear. Some of the stuff didn't make sense at all, even if it was cool to include a Martian Manhunter cameo. There's also a bit of non-spoilery talk on The Falcon and The Winter Solider as well as Godzilla vs. Kong. Mitch also recommends watching Shin Godzilla, a 2016 movie where Godzilla evolves like a giant, gross Pokémon throughout the narrative.

Episode 206 - Zack Snyder's Justice League (Part 1)

We spend almost the entirety of this episode discussing the first half of Zack Snyder's Justice League. This movie is so chock full of superhero antics that it cannot be contained to just one podcast! We talk about what we liked, what we didn't like, the changes made from the Joss Whedon version of the movie, and much more! At the end we briefly chat about The Falcon and The Winter Soldier before calling it a night. We'll be back to wrap this review up on the next episode! Same Bat Time, same Bat Channel!
