Episode 38 - High Plains Comedy Festival: Friday

Welcome to episode 38 of Broadcast Geeks! On this podcast we discuss all things geek and nerd related with a focus on television and the big screen. If it's on Netflix, Amazon, CW, NBC, ABC, FOX, HBO, Playboy Network or any other of the broadcasts out there we'll find it. No job is too big, no fee is too big! Oh wait, we do this for free and because we love this stuff. 

This week the Geeks took it to the streets of Denver to cover this year's High Plains Comedy Festival. We did two straight nights of interviews on S. Broadway and boy did we have a blast! No, seriously. One of us actually exploded, albeit it was their mind which is COMPLETELY legal in the state of Colorado.

We talk Stranger Things, The Shannara Chronicles, The Get Down, Fantasy AND preseason football, phone games, classic literature, murder podcasts & a whole lot more! We also ask each of our guests to weigh in on our ongoing "recline or not to recline" debate. The votes have been cast and we can't wait to show you the current numbers.

We may need a second DVR.

Episode 37 - Isaac McGaha Miller's Marvel Mash Up Machine

Welcome to episode 37 of Broadcast Geeks! On this podcast we discuss all things geek and nerd related with a focus on television and movie adaptations of our favorite childhood comic book super heroes.

This week the Geeks  sit down with former Sexpot Comedy producer Isaac McGaha Miller! Isaac took some time to chat with the Geeks on a variety of topics including his days with Sexpot Comedy, his new life as a coder and most importantly his new website Marvel Mash Up! Episode 36 - Gabe Dinger & Ron Funches

Welcome to episode 36 of Broadcast Geeks! On this podcast we discuss all things geek and nerd related with a focus on comic book super hero adaptations for television and the big screen.

This week the Geeks are fortunate enough to record a very special episode with comedian and actor Ron Funches! Ron and fellow comedian Gabe Dinger are in town performing at the downtown Denver Comedy Works and took some time to sit down with us to talk about a variety of geek related topics.

We talk comic books, Adventure Time, shoes, Pro Wrestling, bathroom etiquette, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and event lament on the loss of the short-lived television show Selfie. Ron talks about being the dad of a geek and what it's like to share those experiences with his son. Ron and Gabe also weigh in on our ongoing debate on whether to recline or not to recline.

Most importantly we get to talk about Ron's upcoming television show set in the DC universe, Powerless! Ron gives us a little inside information on the character he'll be playing and you won't believe what his name is. Spoilers ahead (not really)! We get to chat a little on the pilot episode and get a few cool details about what we should come to expect from this "comedic" comic book TV show.
