What in tarnation is happening over at DC? We're getting all kinds of mixed messages, Ezra Miller keeps committing crimes, and a merger is causing shockwaves across the DCU. The new Batgirl movie probably won't see the light of day, despite testing decently. Paper Girls is a cool, new show on Prime based on some comics. And then we talk about how Talia stole jizz from Batman to create Damian...what do YOU talk about?

Did you know the Jetsons and the Flintstones were in their 40's? And George was WAY older than Jane, and she was 17 when they got together. That wouldn't float these days. Brendan Fraser's star is rising higher and higher, as he gets a major film role, and this makes up happy because we all love that guy! Comic Con just ended and we geek out over all the announcements, especially the new Marvel phases. And then there's Kang...

Ms. Marvel is over and it was great! So much to unpack, especially with an open door to a mutant universe AND a quick appearance of a certain supe at the end scene. We're looking forward to the Marvels, coming out next year. We basically spent the episode talking about 20 things the MCU needs to address, based on a lame article we found, however, the discussion was FAR from lame.

Mitch and Jake commanded the pod this week as a duo! They talked about Ms. Marvel, which continues to be great. Also the runtime of MCU Phase 4, which seems bloated though a bulk of it comes from shows. Lastly, The Boys Season 3 still blows our minds and gets us excited. What are you excited about?

Welcome to Episode 265 of Broadcast Geeks! On this podcast we discuss all things pop culture provided that our DVR’s have space and our streaming accounts are paid up. This week, the Geeks (Mitch, Nate, Jake, and Matt Orrin) are virtually together to discuss all things geek.
We talk about the endings of both Umbrella Academy, and also Stranger Things. Stranger Things answered a bunch of questions, but not all. Will doesn't get the catharsis he needs by professing his love for Mike, and we're not sure what's up with Vecna. So we didn't get closure here, nor did we get it on Umbrella Academy. Who built that machine that Reg is so curious about? Where did they end up after resetting things? Where are the powers? So many more questions to answer now! And for some reason, there is an Avatar sequel that nobody really asked for, 13 years later. At least Marvel is bringing the Defenders to D+, so we got that going for us!

The Umbrella Academy is a lot of fun to watch, and that takes up a good chunk of this episode. They did an excellent job of addressing the change from Vanya to Victor, essentially addressing the change from Ellen to Elliot Page. It was addressed and treated very skillfully. Ms. Marvel is also a lot of fun and tackles its own issues very well. Lastly, we transition to Stranger Things, as it is (at the time!) close to airing the last 2 episodes of the season. We start a Dead pool and make our predictions. Who did you pick?

More Stranger Things, because let's face it...the show is awesome. All kinds of theories are abound, such as what they can do for the last 2 episodes where the last episode is as long as a feature length film! Firstly, is this show an actual campaign for other people? If so, who would be the NPCs? Hopper could be as his character has definitely turned it up considerably since the first 2 seasons. He is a certified bad ass! We're thinking of a ST dead pool because someone is gonna die. Who do you think it will be? In other news, Kenobi feels a disturbance and the Boys are giving us entertainment we didn't think we needed, but we do.

Mitch started Stranger Things finally, after weeks of ignoring us talk about it on the pod. We are able to delve deeper into the lore since everyone is on board. Will's painting is still a hot topic for Matt Orrin, who thinks it might be some sort of love letter to Mike. Mitch also saw Jurassic Worlds, which he described as fun and a bit goofy, although there was maximum Goldblum which is something that every movie needs!

Nate gives us his non-spoiler breakdowns of Obi-Wan and Ms. Marvel, of which just released the day this was recorded. He has positive things to say about both, although Obi-Wan seems to have some issues. On the other side, DC animation once again gets us revved up. We also talk Stranger Things again because the show rocks! We have theories about whether or not a character dies, and who that would be. Do you have any thoughts on it?

The time is upon us, for Obi Wan and Stranger Things. We get an Obi Wan breakdown. Is it good, or even worth it? Stranger Things, however, is clearly something that needs to be immediately consumed. We spoil the crap out of it, for the first of many times although by the time it comes out, you probably saw it already!
